These are the characteristics that Dexter students, faculty and our Dexter Community should model.
HONESTY - Be truthful, being deceptive hurts you and others, own up to your mistakes.
INTEGRITY - Demonstrate sound moral and ethical principles, living your values in relationships with others. Honesty and trust are central to integrity.
KINDNESS - Treat others as you’d like to be treated. A little kindness goes a long way.
EXCELLENCE - Go the extra mile, do more than is expected of you.
SELF-CONTROL - Exercise restraint over your own impulses, emotions and desires.
RESPECT - Have regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of others.
PERSEVERANCE - Persist with tasks, dreams, ideas, and passions despite difficulties or opposition. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.
RESILIENCE - Coping with setbacks, barriers, or limited resources. Determination to overcome obstacles. Emotional strength.
HONOR - Do what you say you're going to do.
HUMILITY - Be humble, put others before yourself.
